We got a visitor... we got four visitors... we got a whole family of visitors! Let me back up a little... Sometime in the middle of October we made our way out to San Antonio for C-5 training, and so Richard's brother Jeremy and his family were kind enough to come out to visit! So we took them to see the C-5, because describing it doesn't do it justice!

Fast Forward to Halloween! I do remember blogging about Jeff's Birthday, but I forgot Carter's... He turned one at some point during graduation, but since I have no pictures, you'll again have to believe me! I will make it up to you by displaying how adorable Carter looked at Halloween! We decided to be ecologically friendly and reuse Jeff's costume from when he was one... Apparently Carter did not appreciate that!

I apologize for the video being sideways, I always forget that I can't do that with my camera!!

Anyone catch that? That was some old skool Will Smith for you! Our summer was so fast, and so exciting and so.... I don't have any pictures... I think I already confessed that our hard drive crashed, and of course all of our summertime pics were on there so you'll just have to believe me that our summer was great!! I did find one picture on my geek stick... Proof that summer was perfect... Sunburns and tired eyes, could a vacation ask for more?!

You know I meant Kami, right? Of course we couldn't forget Kindergarten Graduation... She even graduated with Honors! She was named Cougar of the Year!! Let's hope it's not her only graduation! We celebrated with a quick trip to McDonald's, and then took Dad back to work for a night flight...

Drop Night....

For any of you not in the Air Force, you might not be familiar with what a drop night is... So let me explain! Drop is when your whole pilot training class is put up in front of a room full of mostly drunk pilots and humiliated with stories and anecdotes about the year that was spent in training! Then they proceed to give you your assignment, which is your plane and location. It is very nerve-wracking!! So here it is, Richards drop! Please forgive the mindless laughter and screaming... I have never been so nervous in my life!!!

What, you may ask, and where did that man say we were going? Well, he said C-5, but he never actually said the location... I just saw it on the map (obviously, it was California) and then I started screaming uncontrollably! C-5, Travis AFB!! By the way, it's now January, and we still aren't there!! ;)

So, the months of June through December are a complete blur to me, and while I'll never to be able to entirely catch up, here is my best attempt! These next entries will get us from Pilot Training to Christmas... When I'll get beyond that is a mystery that may never be solved...

So here are our family pictures from June, they were in front of the T-1, which was the plane Richard was flying at the time... Thanks to my sweet friend Tisha we were able to get some cute pics... If only Carter would have cooperated!! And, our computer crashed, so the edited pictures are lost... These are only the raw images...

Sad News and the True Meaning of Christmas

I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas season. Today my sister Heather, a teacher at Dry Creek Elementary School in Sacramento, told me about a family at her school. They are the Gorelkin Family. They are from Russia and have 10 children ranging from 1-13 years old. On Tuesday the Mother of this family passed away. She was 7 months pregnant. The family is very poor and very heartbroken. I feel deep down in my heart that this family truly needs help and I know there is only so much I can do, so I am reaching out to all of you for help. I know money is tight for everyone this year, but if there is any help that you can provide for this family in need it would be truly appreciated. Jeff Turns FOUR!

Four Years Old... My little big guy is already four! I know for a lot of you it comes as more of a shock that he is only turning four... But it's true, he is finally four years old! Who cares that he grew out of size four clothes when he was two, that people think he's Kami's twin, that he'll be taller than her by Christmas... In my eyes, he's just a little guy!! Jeff's birthday fell on a sunday this year, so no big parties, but we took him to Schlitterbahn the day before, and he had a great time! He got to open some fun gifts, and spend the day playing with toys and video games... But still reminds me to this day that I forgot a cake!!! How could I?!!

These cars are a blast... Thanks grandma!

First grade is full of exciting times, and this is one I could not let slip by under the radar! Kami came home from school last week telling me that they were going to be dancing to Thriller for a PTA function, and this was the best part... "Derrick is going to be Michael Jackson mom, since he's black!" She was really thrilled about that last part! It was so fun to see, I wish my camera could have done it justice... It's almost as good as the original! you have to watch Derrick, he's so cute!!
(of course most of the video is of Kami, she's really cute too!)

Ahh...Dance has come to an end!

Let me tell you about Kami. She is wonderful, but a tad on the addicted to television side! I don't let her watch much anymore, because it got so bad, but anytime she sees a tv on, she becomes glued! So much so, that dance class was always a fight! (Because it is at the same time as Arthur on PBS!!) But nevertheless, I won, most of the time, and last night, the fruits of her labor were shown as she tapped and twirled the night away! The video will give you a good idea of how often she didn't make it to class, you can see that about 75% of the performance she is watching the teacher for cues!! I was on the wrong side of the stage for her second dance so you can't see her as well, but she is on the far left side of the video!! Hope you enjoy!

So dance is over for the season... but it was glorious while it lasted! Next up... Swimming lessons!

You'll say it after you see this video of Carter! Only took nine months, but our little guy is mobile! One problem though, someone must have forgotten to tell him we're Air Force because his crawl is very Army style!! I love hairbows, they are one of my many weaknesses (for Kami, not for me)! It just so happens that my sister in law knows how to make them, so she indulged me and taught me how! They are super fun to make, and so with a little time and effort, I completed my first set! I am super excited, and I can't wait to go broke on grosgrain ribbon!! Too bad WalMart doesn't have the best selection!!! If anyone wants a tutorial just let me know, it is really fun!!

Kami had her kindergarten song recital this week, and I couldn't pass up the chance to share this video, it's kind of long, but it is cute... watch how she bops the entire song... such a mover!!

It is so exciting to have a kindergartner, with all of the parties and valentines lists and candy... And Kami was such a good sport about her valentine cards, she decided it would be okay to have hand made valentines instead of the ones from the store, so this is what we came up with!
The ones for her classmates... They were supposed to be holding a sucker, but they weren't strong enough!! So cute though, I thought!!
Jeff wanted to show them off for Kami, they are patterned after Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.! The eye is actually supposed to be bigger, but Wal-Mart only has so many sizes of googly eyes!!
The teachers got dogs, personally decorated by Kami herself, and the backs read 'I'm "Mutts" about you!' So cute!! Yea for Valentine's Day!!!

Carter has decided that if Jeff can drive, so can he... Now, if he could only reach those pedals...

Jeff didn't seem to mind being passenger, until he realized they were never going to get anywhere!! So then he decided to play basketball instead, but the only way Carter could play with us was if he were the ball!!!

Well, you can probably tell that that didn't last long, but it's okay because just then we heard the bus coming!! Kami was home from school!!
What a big girl! That' it! Just another normal day at the Hunt house! (Don't worry, we don't always use Carter as the ball... just sometimes!)

An ode to animals...

I was looking for a picture on our computer today, and while doing so, I found lots of pictures of all of the pets that Richard and I have enjoyed over the years!! It is incredible, the number of dogs and cats we have somehow obtained... Yet we never can manage to keep them!! So, here for your viewing pleasure, is a list of all the animals we have brought into our home in the last seven years!! (That does not include a beta fish, which my sweet sister Vanessa gave to me... that thing wouldn't die!)
That's Cookie... She was so cute, but she had really bad ticks and they kept latching to my children... She found a good home in San Antonio!
Here's Chewbacca... Cute as can be, but it turns out Chihuahuas don't like three year olds! He went back to his homeland...Cuidad Acuna, Mexico!
Meet Chip and Dale... Dale really did have a red nose, but Richard wasn't sold! They found a new home at the local cemetery. Don't worry, they are still alive, they just keep the rodent problems down!!
There's Celery. He was a vagabond cat from the neighborhood... He stole our hearts and then stole away!! We had him for a month or so and then he moved on!
That's George!! He was the most patient kitten... Well until he snuck out and ran away... He's probably alot happier though, just look at his expression!
Here's Rumpledoodles (named for the Heffalump Movie, of course!!) He was beautiful, but not fond of Kami's love! After he stratched her too many times, we decided to find him a new home! Isn't he cute, though?!
I don't even remember this ones name so we must have not had it for very long, but it looks sweet!!!
Rafferty and Commander!! We only had Commander as a puppy, my sister gave him a better home than we did, in fact, that's why ended up with a fish instead!
Here's Rafferty alone, he was by far our favorite, but we just couldn't give him the attention that he needed so he went back to his old home...We still have visitation rights, though!! There was one other dog we had, Ella... she didn't even stay long enough to get a picture! She couldn't stay off of our table! There is something not right about a huge dog on the kitchen table... now I wish I did have a picture!! Of course we still have Chocolate and Caramel, from down below, and it is my goal in life to keep those cats forever!! Oh the adventures of the Hunt Family...

FHE all day long!

Since Monday was MLK jr. Day, Richard and Kami both got the day off! YEA!! And since it was such a beautiful day in Del Rio, we decided to try GeoCaching with our new GPS! (Thanks, Mom Hunt!!) If any of you haven't heard of geocaching, it's like a treasure hunt with your GPS and map coordinates, it's super fun and challenging! Anyhow, we picked three geocaches from the website http://www.geocaching.com/ and away we went! No luck with our first two, actually the second one ended up being in a swamp and we couldn't actually get to it, but third time's a charm, all we had to do was trespass on to someone's property (great example for our kids!) But we found the treasure box and left a toy for the next family, and headed to lunch!! It was so much fun and I recommend it to everyone, at least to try once! The kids were definitely into finding treasures!

Why do kittens have to get big?!

For Christmas of 2008 Kami's Christmas letter to Santa consisted of just a few requests! She asked for a new bike, a baby sister (because I guess a baby brother wasn't sufficient), and a momma cat and three kittens!! So while I did think that four cats were just too many, we decided that Santa could bring two, because my kids fight over everything, and every cat needs an accomplice!! I took pictures of Caramel and Chocolate right after we got them, but never posted them, and now the cats are huge (well, not huge... but bigger!!) So I thought I would post pictures of the cats, but I have to show how they have grown! And, beware... The following pictures contain violence (kitten eating baby...)

Ice skating... Not for the faint of heart!

While in California, we each had our list of things to do, and while some of our plans were foiled by sick children, one thing that my sister Vanessa really wanted to do was ice skate! So, we got all bundled up and headed out to the ice rink for a morning of frozen noses and toeses! (I know it's spelled wrong, but rhymes!!) Actually it wasn't too bad, but Jeff was a fish out of water on the rink, so we rented him a sled! Kami enjoyed doing circles on the beginners rink and Richard has decided that he belongs with the professionals! Me? I am just proud to say that I didn't fall! (That's quite an accomplishment for me!)

Jelly Belly Overload!!!

California has so much to offer it's visitors... The ocean, the mountains, the Jelly Belly Factory... Oh yea, you can't think that we would visit our hometown and not take advantage of all the free Jelly Belly's our tummies could handle!! We snuck away from the clan for a day to take our kiddos to Fairfield to watch the Jelly Belly guys in action! We took the tour and sampled our hearts away, we even ate burgers in the shape of a Jelly Bean... Real burgers, not burger flavored jelly bellys!! Kami and Jeff seemed to enjoy themselves for the tour... It was the ride home they didn't enjoy so much!! ("my tummy hurts, it hurts so bad"!!!!)

Finally... The child has a name!!

If you happen to not be of a religious nature, I'll explain that as a newborn, at least in the LDS religion, you receive a name and a blessing, normally done by your father, where he officially blesses you with a first, middle, and last name, as well as offers you a sweet fathers blessing at the same time!! As I mentioned, normally this is done within a month or two of birth... not six! But, in order to have Richard's family with us for the blessing, we chose to wait and have the blessing when we were in California for Christmas! While I missed my family being there, I was grateful that so many member's 0f Richard's family were there! The blessing was beautiful and I am grateful to say that Richard didn't change Carter's name during the blessing (although secretly I have always thought that would be cool!)

We filled the whole house with just part of Richard's family!!

Richard picked out the outfit that we blessed Carter in, that was really special to me!!

Twin cousins... Is that possible?! Well, either way, those two will be breaking hearts together!!

Thank you Grandma, for the best blessing afterparty ever!

Christmas!! What a wonderful time of year... Who couldn't love Christmas? Oh, I can think of one person... Carter Quince! Yeah, it turns out that having Pneumonia isn't the best way to spend your first Christmas!

Isn't that so sad? Carter had been getting sick, but I had no idea it was so bad! Luckily my sisters in law all talked me in to taking him to the hospital after we all opened gifts, so off we went, Richard, Carter and I to spend his first Christmas day in the ER... Fun!! But, indeed, they found pneumonia in his lungs, and so it was a worthwhile visit! Actually the trip to the ER wasn't too bad, it was the fact that the closest open pharmacy on Christmas day was 20 miles away, and had a three hour wait!! What an adventure!

The Sleepy Nutcracker...

Since this was an ON year for the Hunt family (which of course means everyone has to end up in Loomis by Christmas Eve), Richard's mom chose to keep us very busy so we could all be together! We went and saw the Nutcracker which is a tradition for the ladies in the Hunt Family! Once a girl comes of age she gets to go with the older ladies, and this year was Kami's first time! I was so excited to have her there with us... until she fell asleep ten minutes into the first act!! How could she fall asleep during her first Nutcracker performance?! Actually, I really can't blame her, I think I dozed off a little in the first act as well! It was beautiful though, and I while I am always a little skeptical of ballet, once it got going, it was great! No pictures though, I forgot my camera alot on this trip!

Looks like we will be sticking around!

We tracked this Wednesday, which means we got our latest training assignment! We hoped for the T-1, and we were so excited to get it! That means no changes for at least seven months, which is okay with me! We celebrated with Richard's flight before everyone took their place with their new classes, and Carter and Jeff were the only kids, so they enjoyed the spotlight! Carter even got the privilege of wearing the "Killer Bee of the Week" hat, we were so proud!! (Of course, Richard had to try it on too!)

A Successful Family Home Evening!

Anyone who knows us very well can attest to our strong desire, but our childrens' lack of focus for successful FHE! So my sister Vanessa has been my mentor in using crafts to get the children to focus on Family Night!! This past Monday we used her idea of Button Trees for Christmas to talk to the kids about Jesus Christ, his birth, and why we celebrate! It was fabulous!! So from here on out, our house will be stocked with craft ideas... Anything to get a successful Family Home Evening!

Even Carter joined in on the button fun!

I was so proud of Richard, he never lost his patience!

T-6 COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!! Richard passed his final checkride in the t-6 today, so we are halfway through the program!! Yea for him, he has worked so hard, and there were times that we thought he was out.... But he made it!! Anyhow, now we wait until Wednesday when we will find out what plane he will fly next... Most likely it will be the T-1 here at Laughlin, but we could move to Corpus Christie and fly the T-44!!! So, that's it!! He did it, three kids, a needy wife, a couple doggy fiascos and a heck of alot of faith!!!! Congrats sweetheart!!

The Great Corn Maze!

Being in the Military definitely has it's perks!! Like free admission to South Texas Corn maze in Beautiful Hondo, Texas!! So a couple of Saturdays ago, we packed up our car and some of our neighbors and headed on over to see just how lost we could get! Turns out a corn maze isn't the place to be on the windiest day of the year!! We ended up dirty and cold... and a little bit corny!! Get it?! Corny?!! Corn maze?!! Ahhh... Nevermind!

Oklahoma City...

For Thanksgiving we went out to Dallas to visit my dad, and since we were so close to Oklahoma we thought it would be fun to visit some friends who live up there! I am a freak about national monuments, so I couldn't pass up the chance to visit the Oklahoma City Bombing memorial... It was really touching. Here are some pictures, I highly recommend it, but bring the kleenex!

For every person killed during the blast, there is a glass chair set out on the lawn with their name on it. The smaller chairs were for the children that were at the daycare center on the second floor of the building... Brothers and Sisters, Mothers and Fathers...

The walls represent where the building once stood... There is a time on each wall. 9:01 and 9:03, the attack came at 9:02, changing the lives of these individuals and their families forever.

Hey ya'll!! That's Texas for "HI"!! We just wanted to let everyone know that we are here in San Antonio for Jeff's surgery, it is tomorrow at 7:30am, and we are just hoping that it goes well and that he will not hate me forever for putting him through this!! Thank you all for your prayers and support, we will definitely post an update tomorrow to let everyone know how it went!!

As many of you know, one of the luxuries of living in a place like Del Rio is that we are never at a loss for a Mexican Restaurant... Although you never know if that restaurant will even still be there the next time you go! However when you feel like Mexican food will just not quench your tastebuds, no fear... There is an All-Time American Favorite only 60 miles away!!! Yes, that's right, for just an hours drive you can treat yourself to a fabulous Fuddrucker's burger and shake, and even take in a Kohl's Department Store while you are at it!! That's right people, I am talking real civilization!! So this past weekend Richard and I left our two oldest with my Grandma and Grandpa (who just randomly happen to live an hour in the other direction, which really made our trip two hours) and we went to the city! This may sound ridiculous to some of you, but seriously, Del Rio is missing a few things... Target and some real restaurants!! Carter got to come with us, and as you can see, he really enjoyed lunch there, too!!

Finally, some long awaited good news!

Just a quick update... For anyone who didn't already know, Jeff has been rather unhealthy a majority of his life; ear infections, strep throat, asthma, sleepapnia... He has been diagnosed with it all. It is really hard for a mother to watch her child be so sick all the time, and this past month alone we have had so many doctor appointments, specialist appointments, sleep tests, studies... You name it!! Anyhow, we were able to get our primary physician and an ENT specialist to consent to surgery. It sounds scary to have my little big guy go into the hospital, but I think it is the right choice and the right time... So November 5th, at 7:30am Jefferson will have his tonsils removed, his adenoids removed, and a second, stronger set of tubes put into his ears! His pediatrician reassured me that he would be a new kid after this surgery... Is that good?!! Anyhow, I just wanted to share that bit of news, it is huge for me because we have really struggled with his health and anger issues (which are also supposed to lighten up after the surgery, because the dr. believes they are related to sleepapnia)... I am so scared for him to go under anesthesia, the last time he went under (for his first set of tubes) it was so sad to watch him wake up... But I think it is the right thing to do!! Right?!

It's too bad for those of you that don't live here in Del Rio because you have to miss out on all of the excitement that our community has to offer... (Please notice the sarcasm dripping off that statement!)

But alas, we found a fabulous family fun center in the heart of Del Rio called... Wait, are you ready for it? BUMPY'S FAMILY FARM!

That's right folks, adventure, excitement and entertainment all rolled into one acre of dust, dirt and manure! Actually though, it was great fun! We went for a birthday party for JC, one of Kami and Jeff's bestest friends!

There was mini golf and water balloon battles and a petting zoo and a train ride and a pony!! That's right, one pony for 15 kids to ride on... You'll never guess how long that took!! Please join with me as we share the memories of the Bumpy's Family Farm!

I know most people are surprised when I tell them how old Jeff is, but it's true... He is barely three, as of yesterday! We celebrated with a Spiderman Party at the bowling alley, and while is was chaotic, it was a blast! He had a great time with his friends and he got to eat lots of cake, and the bowling alley even gave him a huge bowling pin piggy bank... which he slept with!!

Thank goodness for SuperHeroes! Our Sleeping Beauty's car broke down, and ever the damsel in distress, pleaded for a Prince Charming to give her a jumpstart! Alright, it's a week late, but here it is... Kami's First day of Kindergarten! Where did time go? I can't believe she's so grown up! She even rides the bus home! She loves her class, but she says her teacher gets mad alot!! She has to have marshmallows in her lunchbag every day, and we have to listen to Jonas Brothers as we drive to school! So much for Itsy Bitsy Spider, this girl is into real music!! But, she's not too grown up, she still ends up in my bed every night! Any suggestions to remedy that problem?!

A Birthday cake fit for a ... Well, a five year old!

For Kami's family birthday party with the Hunts, I decided to try my hand at baking... I am definitely not going to get a job on Ace of Cakes anytime soon! I did, however, make the cake from scratch (no boxed cake mixes here)... also not a good idea! Nevertheless, this was the outcome, a double layer, vanilla filled yellow-pinkish cake! (She wanted a pink cake, I did the best I could!) So what that the cake looks like the San Andreas Fault Line, and that the top layer was two inches short on either side, don't I deserve some points for caring about my little girl enough to make her a cake?! What? I would have been better off buying my cake at the bakery??? Well check this out!! This is what came out of that cake, and by the way... It tasted great! At least according to my eight year old niece Summer, and she knows everything!

Not so bad... huh?!! She loved it, by the way, although I never asked her about the taste... I don't think I will!! Happy Birthday Kami, my beautiful five year old!!

Kami's Official Five Year Old picture, bumps from her tree fall and all, but it only got better as the day went on!! I had to have a party for her here in California because this is our hometown, so we went to Bounce U (it is a fabulous warehouse loaded with bounce houses, obstacle courses, slides...all inflatable) where her and eleven of her bestest friends enjoyed hours (okay, only one) of endless play... Or so we thought!! After half an hour, Kami and her best boy friend bumped heads, and he ended up losing a tooth that wasn't loose when we got there!! Kami got the better end of the deal, she only ended up with a goose egg on her forehead... Not quite the birthday gift she was hoping for!
Can you see that puppy?!! So now, Kami looks as if she was the pinata at her own birthday!! But she reports that it was tons of fun, and she wanted to go back as soon as she woke up this morning!! Here are some pictures of our Bouncing Party!!

And here I thought I had a little lady!! Not to be the case, since she fell out of a tree she decided to climb to show off for the neighbor boys here in California!! Luckily it wasn't too bad, but to hear her tell the story... "I fell from the tree, and my foot got caught in the tree, and I was hanging upside down by my foot, and then Huntley (her cousin) was my superhero!" Here are our battle wounds, again, let me emphasize that it wasn't too serious, (it was only a cherry tree), but still, this deserves some blog footage!

This is one of those things that my husband will never live down!! Are you ready for this? My husband, who has always prided himself on his ability to fly with perfection, totally threw up on his first Official Air Force flight!! Yes, it's true, he and that white bag became very close friends as Richard joined the 33% of airsick Air Force pilots... I have no idea where that statistic came from, but I think it's true!! He swears it was because he ate a heavy breakfast, but I just could not resist sharing this with everyone I know... I mean how could I keep something like this a secret?!!

As you can tell in the "BEFORE" picture, Jeff definitely neeeded some attention up top! I had planned on letting his hair grow out until Daddy got home, but it just has gotten out of control! So tonight we took Jeff for his first official haircut! Normally I cut it, but it never turns out well, so I thought I'd save myself the trouble! And since we are in Provo/Orem, which is the beauty school capital of the US, we had our choice of salons!! We chose Bon Losee, for $4.95, and they did a very good job! Our stylist was so much fun, and she made Jeff look way cool!! He now has a Fauxhawk!!! I had to do it because I know Richard will never let it happen again, so I might as well have my fun now!! Check out our stud now!! He's even sporting the "TOO COOL" face!!!

We aren't the only ones having fun! Richard is living it up in Colorado, showing off his flight suit and his Air Force Pilot look!! His class is scheduled to fly on Wednesday, and he is getting so excited to get back in the air, it has been over a year since he has even flown!! We are so proud of Richard, and while we miss him so very much, there is no place else we'd rather him be!! Way to go, DAD!!

Okay, So here we are in Orem, UT, and we woke up this morning to SNOW!!! The children were so very excited! So, of course we went out and played, but unfortunately we weren't quite packed right for snow so we couldn't play for long!! But that didn't stop Kami from lobbing some pretty good snowballs right at my face! What did Jeff think of it all? He didn't like how cold his hands got... I don't blame him!

So, it is off to Colorado for Richard, and off to Utah for us! We will miss him so very much, but we had some fun before we dropped him off! Richard's dream has always been to visit the UFO Research Center and Museum, he has told me that it was his one desire as a child... Okay that is a huge lie, but he's not here to stop me from writing what I choose, and it makes our journey a little more interesting, don't you think?!! Anyhow, we did make our way to the museum as we passed through Roswell, and I'll tell you... that was the biggest waste of six dollars and two hours of our life!! But, to those who believe... Good for you! We did see some really fun things though, like a postal box that was shaped like R2-D2, and a McDonald's playground that was a space shuttle!! Wow! It really was a fun city!!

Look at these royal cuties!! Kami and Jeff were invited to a Royal Birthday Party for their little friend Allyson, and I got the assignment of making Jeff a Knight costume!! It only took three tries, and a milk jug lid... But he looks pretty royal to me!! Kami, of course, had to be in pink, and thus it was... The Royal Hunts!!

2008 Easter Day Parade

Have you ever seen such a cool vehicle?!! This was our entry in the Laughlin Air Force Base Easter Parade!! In case you can't tell it is a Bunny rabbit chasing a fishing pole with a carrot tied to the end... (it had buck teeth and whiskers and a tail, it was a pretty dope Mustang Bunny) Surprisingly it only took five jumbo bags of cotton balls! Thankfully Nicia is alot more creative than I am, it was only with her help that we were able to get it all together!! We got second... I think we lost some points for having a motor... Everyone else had wagons or bikes!! It was really fun, after the judging, we got to follow the parade route to the Easter Egg Hunt, where the kids had a blast scrambling for eggs and candy! (Jeff was very protective of his egg finding area, as you can see) Then of course we followed that fun up with cotton candy, hot dogs, popcorn and soda pop! It is our first Easter on our own, but the little ones don't seem to mind...

The Easter Card Disaster

So every year I try to take pictures of my little ones at all the holidays, but since we have moved to Texas, I haven't been in the picture taking mood... So I got the bug today, and decided that since Easter is so close, I could take pictures to send out in Easter cards!! Wow, was I wrong!! As you can see to the left... My kiddos were in no mood for beautiful poses, they wanted to show me their funny faces!! (Those will not be going out in Easter cards, by the way!) But, we finally got a decent smile from both of them at the same time, and Easter is saved!! Cards were made, addressed and mailed out this morning, and I feel like a good mommy again... Now, if I could just remember when I fed them last... (Just kidding, I'm sure they got themselves breakfast eventually!)
